YUBA CITY — Yuba City High School running back Cody Haase surpassed the 1,000-yard mark on the ground following his performance at home against Twelve Bridges out of Lincoln, keeping the senior within striking distance of the top rushing leaders in the division as the team prepares for its final regular-season home game.

According to a local news report detailing local high school football statistics, Haase has accumulated 1,018 rushing yards and scored 21 touchdowns over the course of nine games this season. His performance has yielded an average of just over 110 rushing yards per game for the Honkers, who currently hold a 7-2 record and are ranked No. 2 in Sac-Joaquin Section Division IV.

With those totals, Haase holds the No. 3 position in the Sac-Joaquin Section Division IV rushing race. He currently trails Twelve Bridges senior Joshua Chittom by 217 yards. Chittom holds the position as the division's second-leading rusher following the recent matchup between the two programs.

Haase’s progress past the four-digit rushing mark features multiple single-game standout performances throughout the 2026 schedule. The running back has rushed for 200 or more yards in a single game on two separate occasions during the 2026 season. His most recent effort of that magnitude occurred on Oct. 23, when he posted a 244-yard rushing performance during a road contest at Placer.

The Honkers will return to their home field this week for senior night ceremonies against No. 11-ranked Nevada Union, which comes into the matchup with a 2-7 record. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. on Friday at Honker Stadium, located on the campus of Yuba City High School.

Spectators and players attending Friday night’s game at Honker Stadium can anticipate wet weather conditions, according to environmental forecasts cited in the report. Daytime conditions leading up to the game call for high temperatures around 57 degrees Fahrenheit, accompanied by light and variable winds and a 70 percent chance of rain with occasional showers under cloudy skies.

By Friday evening, when kickoff takes place, the forecast indicates a 60 percent chance of rain showers with gradual clearing expected overnight. Evening temperatures are expected to drop to a low of 44 degrees Fahrenheit, while light and variable winds will persist throughout the night.

The scheduled game at Honker Stadium will mark the latest outing for the No. 2-ranked Yuba City High program as it completes its regular-season home schedule against its 2-7 opponent, with Haase entering the contest with 1,018 total yards, 21 touchdowns, and a season average of just over 110 yards per game.
