Sutter Union High hosts Lathrop tonight for its final regular season football game after scheduling the matchup to replace Layton Christian Academy. Sutter enters senior night with senior Losi Asiata holding two thousand twenty-six rushing totals of one thousand seven hundred sixty-five yards and twenty-nine touchdowns. Projected as a number three seed in Division Five by MaxPreps, Sutter prepares for the postseason starting November thirteenth. Meanwhile, Lathrop sits outside the top eight for a single-elimination tournament but remains eligible for a Division bowl game.
At the same time, Yuba City closes out its Foothill Valley League season at home against Nevada Union on senior night. Holding a seven-and-two overall and three-and-one league record, Yuba City looks to secure a league title split with a win and a Twelve Bridges loss against Del Campo. Yuba City head coach Jonah Lessard told a local news report that the team aims to utilize the experience from last week's twenty-nine to twenty-eight loss against Twelve Bridges as they enter the postseason. Running back Cody Haase leads the ground attack with over one thousand yards, sitting at number three in the Sac-Joaquin Division Four rushing race behind Twelve Bridges player Joshua Chittom. Postseason seed meetings will occur Sunday, with playoff games slated to begin following the conclusion of regular season play.
